Be a Mini Camp Counselor

It is an honor to have the opportunity to give back to Alleghany through voluntary service as a Mini Camp Counselor.  If you are interested in being a Mini Camp counselor read on…..

To qualify for Mini Camp staff one must be an alumnus of Camp Alleghany. Having counseling experience, as opposed to simply having attended as a camper, is preferred.  Due to the nature of the gals with whom we work (mostly first time away from home, never-been-to-sleepaway-camp gals) it is preferred that applicants be late 20’s or older. It is strongly suggested that alumni not be Mini Camp counselors while their daughters attend Mini Camp.

TIMELINE for STAFF SELECTION:

September 1

Interested women should contact B.A. directly (bactphd@yahoo.com). Names of women interested will be compiled in the order they were received on a “Mini Staff Wait list.” Do not contact B.A. until this date!

January 1

Deadline for returning staff to commit for the upcoming summer. Depending upon “openings” B.A. will tap any needed gals from the Staff Wait List and solicit their commitments by February 1.

February 1

BA notifies women remaining on Staff Wait List of likelihood (or not) of spaces for the upcoming summer.
